CB

We went to Crested Butte for the Fat Tire bike week thing. Bryan was going to race but he changed his mind. But our friend Rowdy did race... so we hung out and watched him race. This weekend was fun. Crested Butte is wonderful. It has a perfect mix of weird/individuality and small town feel. I loved it.
These are the pics of our trip.
Enjoy.

On Friday they had a chain less race. People had hilarious bikes and they dressed up crazy. Guys were dressed as women and girls were dressed up like funny super heroes or just funny wigs and stuff. After the race they all parked on the strip of shops and restaurants and started to drink. So we walked around and looked at all the bikes! hehe

This is our set up. It rained the first night so we had to eat and hang out in our tent... for Bryan and I that isn't an issue but our friend Rowdy is over 6 feet tall. So he had a funny time sitting in our tent, but it worked!

One of the many views.

Look at this HUGE dog. And the little one is Rowdy's dog Livey (short for Livestrong).

The downtown was so fun. I just wanted to open up some random shop and just stay there!

This is the first piece of art you see when you pull into Crested Butte... haha.

This is Rowdy.

Cute Livey.

Bryan had to hike her up some of the hills... it was too much for her little body.

They use the chair lifts to get the guys and their bikes to the top of the mountain!

Ok... Bryan's uncle owns land just outside of CB. We went to visit it and it was awesome. This is the river in the BACKYARD of the property.

I don't know if you can see it very well. This is the foundation area. The house will be a 3 level log cabin.

Bryan and Rowdy discussing their plans to move out there to camp, rock climb, fish, kayak, and mountain bike for the rest of their lives.

This is what the GPS shows about the property.... NOTHING. haha

That was our trip. Rowdy finished up his race and then he came back to Denver with us. We ate and hung out of the patio. Rowdy got a shower and slept on a bed... a good rest before his 11 hour drive home.
I don't think we have plans next weekend. But if we do... I will show you our trip.

  1. Love the trips but I need a post dedicated to kitties. I miss seeing them.
