update

This week... let's start with... I thought my odds of getting that program director job was kaput. But I had called the lady I interviewed with just to make sure! She told me she had thought someone was going to call me while she was on vacation. SO- I have a phone interview Tuesday morning and then I am waiting for someone to contact me and set up an in person interview with someone else. woo hoo. This job (if I get it) would be an amazing step in my career.

On to fun things.

This past week Bryan had the idea to go borrow our friends long board. Which is a skate board but long (duh). So Bryan is like a 10 year old on this skateboard. He is awesome. I on the other hand have never been on a skateboard. But I wanted to try... thought it would be fun. And I was right... I had a lot of fun. I wasn't bad either. It was my first time after all...

FOURTH OF JULY!

We had crummy crummy plans for the 4th. Our friends were out of town and we didn't know what all there was to do in Denver. We had already gone to a festival the night before so we didn't want to go again. So we piddled around the house for a while trying to decide what to do. So we decided to go to Arvada because it said online that they had a festival thing. So we head that way but it sucked. So we decided to go to the Denver Lacrosse game. On our way there... it starts to rain. We decide to go home and grab some rain gear and I am so glad we did because it rained so hard! It was a down pour. We sat under a hang over thing and we are lucky we did. We didn't get wet.
I don't know if the pic shows it too well, but the rain was amazing.

Ok... there was a gang fight during the game. And these are pics of some of the involved. There was a girl that was totally wasted. She was falling down the stairs and she threw her beer at someone. It was ridiculous and awesome.They all had on red! I had my camera ready to take video, but nothing big happened. Lots of yelling in spanish!

Enjoy fireworks at Invesco Field. They were amazing!

Bryan and I both had Monday off. So we slept in and then decided to go play some tennis. We are playing (well Bryan was playing... I was trying)- there is a guy on the court next to us giving as lesson. The girl he is teaching finished up and he is playing with his daughter. He walks over to us and asks us if we want a quick lesson while his daughter eats her snow cone. We of course say yes. So this 'quick' lesson turns into an hour lesson. He turns out to be a tennis pro! He gave us an awesome lesson. His daughter starts to play with us... and she was better than me. I totally sucked! ha ha. She was 5 years old. Every time I did something bad she would look at me and say "Don't worry... you will get it next time" or " You need to hit it like this" or " Try to hit it harder". It was cute and pathetic at the same time! ha ha.

But a great and fun experience!

Then we went on a bike ride and to cool of we jump in our pool.

It was a nice weekend... tonight we will be grilling fish and corn! yum yum!!!!
