hooligan

This past weekend we drove to Salida for a paddle festival. They had kayaking competitions, running, and this thing called a Hooligan race. It is a 'race' down the river, but the trick is... you use anything that floats (and sometimes doesn't) to get down the river. It was so much fun. Some of the floats were very unique and some of them sucked. haha

These guys tipped in the 'hole'.

This float did not make it! But it was pretty awesome before it went down the river.

This guy was a 'late entry'... he just jumped in the river in the middle of the whole shabang.

This guy is reaching for the little orange bag. It has cash in it. He didn't get it but a guy a few floats later did grab it.

This float got a lot of cheers because it had to do with weed! And that is very popular in CO.

He was dressed as a pirate and tha back of his floatie said 'yo ho ho'!

Surfing on the river has become pretty popular. It was pretty awesome to watch.

These guys were walking around all day. It was funny. I think they were a hooligan team, but I'm not sure!

We had fun. And mom... Bryan loved his hat.

So... We were driving at night. I don't know who saw the dear first but I screamed first. This HUGE buck dear waltzed infront of our car. I actually can't give a full detailed description of what happened because I screamed and covered my eyes. So we hit the dear in the hippish area and kind of flipped it around and it flung drool down the length of my car. Bryan pulled over and I still had my eyes covered... then he informed me that if the dear was injured severly he would have to go 'finish' the job so it didn't suffer. But thank goodness... the dear got up and ran away. We can only hope that it wasn't injured to badly... but I figured since it got up and ran away.. it wasn't too bad... hopefully!

But this is the damage done to my car and a pic of the drool. The drool was amazing...!
